Labour Councillors for Telegraph Hill Ward

After your ward councillors secured extra funding to make Avignon Road safer, work is due to start at the beginning of March. Cllr Bell said, "A consultation took place with residents which gave a 100% endorsement for the measures. We are now working with Abellio about the 343 bus."

We have raised this issue and will update you further and had the following response:

This area of Avignon Road has suffered flooding problems for some time.  The gullies have been regularly cleaned but as there is no sewer passing over the bridge, we suspect that the gullies act as 'soak-aways', so are unable to cope with heavy showers.  We have issued an order to Conways to carry out investigatory works to determine what remedial works are required.
