Congratulations to Lewisham Indo-Chinese Community and Chinese Community School for organising the Chinese New Year celebration at The Broadway Theatre last Sunday (Feb 6th).
The event was well attended and the afternoon included traditional songs, dance and Kung Fu performances by the children, young people and adults who attend the school.
Cllr Joan Millbank who joined the celebration said, "This event is a wonderful example of local multi-culturalism, with skills, traditions and language being valued and maintained within the
Indo-Chinese community, while also being shared with other Lewisham residents. A most enjoyable afternoon."
