We are sad to report that last night, the new Hilton House Coop was broken into and looted. Very disheartened by this and all the events over the last few days.

Show your support by turning up tomorrow at 8am to show solidarity to the new store and the law abiding citizens of the Honor Oak Estate.

Welcome to The Co-operative, who will be opening its new food store on the Honor Oak estate on July 21st. Sited on the ground floor of the new Hilton House development the store brings a much needed shopping facility onto the estate and local neighbourhood. It has also created 23 new jobs of which 20 have been recruited locally, which is really good news for the local economy.

Cllr Joan Millbank says, "The Co-op and its store manager Kenny Tyler is a very welcomed addition to the local neighbourhood; Kenny is very supportive of community activity, and has already attended a local ward assembly, helped to sponsor a local event and -working alongside Family Mosaic and ward councillors - has commissioned a memorial plaque to be sited in the store to commemorate the families that died in the Hilton House war time bombing in 1941. We wish Kenny and his team every success".
