Labour Councillors for Telegraph Hill Ward

After ascertaining what is going on, Transco have given a date to complete the repairs of Tuesday 21st September. We will hold them to that and have asked for Lewisham Homes to contact the residents to make sure they are kept informed.

Gas has been turned off to five flats at Hutchinson House, New Cross. After further investigation, it appears Transco are awaiting scaffolding to be put in place to address the gas leak. Unfortunately, the relevant officers at Lewisham Homes and Transco are not around to get a schedule of the programme of works.

This has been raised as an urgent issue as the residents in those five flats have no hot water and no cooking facilities if they use a gas cooker. Further updates will be made available on Monday.
