Labour Councillors for Telegraph Hill Ward

Tonight New Cross and Telegraph Hill came together at the New Cross People's Library Fundraiser. An auction of wonderful prizes were listed and bid on, using telephone to internet bids.

Cllr Paul Bell, who went to the event on behalf of all Telegraph Hill ward councillors said, "The community have spoken both in celebrating the success of the Bold Vision incubated project, but also in saying that they want their community library to stay."

As a result of being granted a licence to open up the library on selected days during the Summer months, New Cross People's Library will be open this Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

Tonight at the New Cross Library campaign meeting, we voted to become the New Cross People's Library. Now the group of which Telegraph Hill Councillors are part of, is seeking a suitable umbrella organisation and funding to reopen New Cross Library once the it shuts on 28th May.
