Yet again the pump is not working and the toilets are closed. We have contacted Glendale and they gave me this response:
We are experiencing some issues of the main system timer now proving to be faulty. I am speaking with my service company for the system to resole this issue, I hope to have made progress on this by the middle of next week.
And then I emailed them this:
Thank you for the update. You are probably not surprised that I am frustrated with this situation and that I hold Glendale accountable for continuing problems. How many times has it failed? I hope by next week that a long term solution is found and that it is working again, without more failures. I realise that mechanical failure happens, but this is too many times now.
On another matter, when will the toilets be open again?
Please keep the Friends of the Park informed as well.
Email Response from Glendale re: the Pump situation, which has been ongoing for over 6 months
Good afternoon Cllr Bell,
Two new pumps were installed today, and some final connection works are required, the parts are on order to complete this work. I will e-mail you to confirm when works are completed, and the cascade system is back up and running fully.
Regards Chris Thomspon. Glendale Grounds management
Email response from Cllr Bell this afternoon to Martin Hyde, Parks Manager:
Martin,
In the light of the ridiculous and extrensive debacle over the pump in the lower park, I must request in the strongest terms that Glendale are financially penalised for the extensive catelogue of errors in their attempt to get the pump in the pond working. I beleive that there are financial penalties in the contract for poor performance and I must request the highest penalty applied to them for this unacceptable situation.
Regards,
Cllr Paul Bell
